Bob Carlin, Producer
To read my article,
"How to Make A Recording," go to Fiddler
Magazine's website (you'll need to scroll down the
page to find it).
I specialize in roots-based music, from old-time stringbands and bluegrass groups, to blues, cajun and alternative country. I bring a musicians perspective on arrangement and an understanding of traditional music to an engineers knowledge of microphones, studio gear, and both digital and analogue recording media. |
|
Whether it be a one or two tracks, a
full studio recording with all the "bells and whistles"
or an "on location" live to two track mix, I can serve
as an engineer and/or producer. Budget preparation, arrangement
development, choices of back-up musicians, mix and mastering supervision,
cd package and duplication advice, I can supervise all aspects
of your project as required, and get it done on schedule and at
budget.
A new addition to producing services includes consultations
with top songwriters and vocal coaches in preparation for album
sessions.
Mark Simos is a respected songwriter, composer and "tunesmith"
whose songs have been recorded by leading progressive acoustic
artists such as Alison Krauss and Union Station, Laurie Lewis
and Tom Rozum, the Del McCoury Band, the Wayfaring Strangers and
others. Mark has agreed to come on board, and others are under
negotiation. |
